Why you deserve to win a scholarship!!

When trying to convince the judges that you are the best candidate, avoid using the following:

1. I work hard at school.
2. I'm the first in the family to go to college.
3. I want my family to be proud of me.
4. I want to be a good example to my children.
5. I need money for college.

Although these are all very valid reasons for going to college and to apply for scholarships,  they are NOT unique.  In fact, these are the statements that many students write.  Remember, you want to stand out.
