If your desire is to graduate from college DEBT FREE, you have made the right decision by registering in the Intro to Scholarships class. The class moves at a fast pace, especially at the beginning, but don't give up. If you are serious about winning scholarships, the rewards are great.

The Dream Scholarship
This scholarship is available to high school seniors or high school graduates with demonstrated financial need who are first time college students and seek to earn a career-ready associate's or bachelor's degree at one of our Partner Colleges.

Eligibility:
- Be a first-time college student (i.e., a student with no more than 12 college credits excluding credits earned in a dual enrollment program or advance placement testing):
- Intend to enroll in and attend one of TheDream.USPartner Colleges in 2015 and be eligible for in-state tuition;
- Have a high school un-weighted GPA of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent GED score);
- Be DACA or TPS eligible and have received DACA or TPS approval; and
- Demonstrate significant unmet financial need.

Queen Scheherazade Scholarship Pageant
Last year one of my students won one of the princess awards for $3,000. Check this one out if you meet the eligibility requirements.
The Queen will be awarded a $3,500 scholarship and princesses (2) will each be awarded $3,000.
Pageant applicants must "exhibit exceptional character", have at least a 3.0 GPA, reside in Riverside County, be at least 17 years old by the Nov. 22 pageant date, and have not reached the age of 22 as of the fair's opening day on Feb. 13, 2015.
Applications for the pageant will be accepted until Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
