College of the Desert Scholarship
The COD Scholarship is now available. The application is electronic and fairly easy to complete. Don't miss out on this one. There are about 50+ different awards available. The deadline is March 02, 2014, BUT don't wait until the last minute.
Queen Scheherazade Scholarship
For the very first time, COD has a finalist for the Queen Scheherazade scholarship. The candidate, a former student in the Scholarship Class is one of fourteen candidates to be selected for the final round. She has the opportunity to win either Queen or one of two Princess awards. I believe the Queen wins $3,500 and each Princess wins $3,000. Let's keep our fingers crossed for our candidate.
Soroptimist Scholarship
Soroptimist or the Women's Opportunity Award has a December 15th deadline. There are three scholarships available for approximately $1, 600. These are cash awards which are not limited to paying for tuition.
You must be a woman who is financially responsible for either children, a disabled husband parents or other family members.

Girl Friend Factor Scholarship
The next deadline for the Girl Friend Factor is coming up. I believe that the date is December 15th, but will confirm the date as soon as I am back on campus. For now, prepare for the deadline as December 1st just to be on the safe side.
Please "google" Go Girl Grants to access application information. Remember that this application is specifically for women who are 25 years of age or older. They are a fabulous organization.
