Rogers Scholars

Last night I had the pleasure of being invited to dinner for the 18 students who received the Rogers Family Scholars Award. I was the guest of one of my former students who is now a senior at CSUSB.
I must say that as many luncheon and dinners that I have attended over the years, it is always inspiring to listen to the stories and hear how so many students have conquered hardships. Also, to see the pride in a mother and father's eyes when their child is the first in the family to attend college.
Should you be applying to CSUSB, be sure and apply for the Rogers Scholarship if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Recording Scholarships

Most of you are doing a great job in submitting a new scholarship each class session. Now all you have to do is record each new scholarship on your scholarship organizer. Then, record on the calendar (red pen for the deadline and green pen for the mailing date) and file alphabetically in your portfolio.

As soon as possible complete the application and have it ready to mail or submit electronically. Remember to make a copy of each and every scholarship BEFORE submitting--this is an important step.

Keep searching for scholarships even if you have found the number required for the class. The more you apply for the better your chances.
