Be Persistent

Applying for four or five scholarships is not enough. Even the most qualified applicants are rejected--remember that you are competing with thousands of valedictorians and salutatorians each year.

Make applying for at least two scholarships a week part of your regular routine. It is a numbers game and you have a better chance if you apply for many. AND, don't ignore the smaller scholarships--many students only focus on the big ones.
